These Terms & Conditions apply when you use our website or purchase products from us. Please read them before placing an order.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

Our products

We aim to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible.

Because many Purple Zebra products are handmade or personalised individually, there may be small variations in positioning, appearance or finish between items. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.

These minor variations do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

Personalised products

It is your responsibility to check the personalisation information you provide before submitting your order.

This includes names, spelling, dates, wording and personal messages.

We will normally reproduce personalisation using the information submitted with your order.

If you realise you've made a mistake, please contact us immediately. If we haven't started creating the item, we'll do our best to amend it.

Once production has started, we may be unable to make changes or cancel a personalised order.

Gift messages

Where available, you may provide a message to include with your gift.

Please check the message carefully before submitting it.

We reserve the right to decline personalisation or messages that are unlawful or otherwise inappropriate for us to reproduce.

Placing an order

When you place an order, you'll receive an email acknowledging your order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, for example if:

A product is unavailable
There has been an obvious pricing or listing error
We are unable to complete the requested personalisation
Payment has not been authorised
We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the appropriate amount.

Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£).

The total price payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

We reserve the right to change our prices, but changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted.

Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated times are shown on our website and/or during checkout.

Personalised products require time to create before they are dispatched, so making/dispatch time and delivery time are separate.

If you're sending a gift directly to someone else, please make sure you enter the recipient's delivery address correctly.

You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.

Delivery delays

We'll make reasonable efforts to dispatch and deliver orders within the times indicated.

Occasionally delays may occur that are outside our reasonable control, particularly after a parcel has been passed to the delivery provider.

If you're concerned about an order, please contact us and we'll help investigate.

Returns, cancellations and refunds

Your rights depend partly on whether your product has been personalised.

Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised are generally excluded from the normal change-of-mind cancellation right applying to many online purchases.

However, this does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your legal rights.

Problems with an order

We take care when creating and packing orders.

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible and provide your order number and details of the problem.

Photographs may help us understand and resolve the issue quickly.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Food, cosmetics and third-party products

Some Purple Zebra gift boxes may contain products made by other manufacturers, including confectionery, drinks, cosmetics or toiletries.

Please check individual product packaging for ingredients, allergen information, usage instructions, warnings and expiry or best-before information where applicable.

If you are buying a gift for somebody else, it is your responsibility to consider any known allergies, intolerances or sensitivities when selecting products.

Product substitutions

From time to time, an item included within a gift box may become unavailable.

Where appropriate, we may replace it with a reasonably comparable product. Any substitution will be selected with the intention of maintaining the overall nature and value of the gift.

If a significant part of the product is unavailable, we may contact you before fulfilling the order.

Promotions and discount codes

Promotional codes are subject to any terms displayed with the promotion.

Unless otherwise stated, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash and may not be used in conjunction with another offer.

We may withdraw or amend a promotion where reasonably necessary, without affecting orders already validly placed using that promotion.

Intellectual property

The content of The Purple Zebra website, including our original branding, photographs, graphics, product designs, written content and other materials, belongs to The Purple Zebra or is used with permission, as applicable.

You may not reproduce, distribute or use our protected content commercially without permission.

Website availability

We aim to keep our website available and accurate, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may update, change or temporarily remove parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or limits any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses that result from circumstances for which we are not legally responsible.
